Quality Control
Ultratech has an ISO 9001:2015 certified and ITAR registered integrated quality management system in place designed to consistently meet customer requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner, while continually improving our processes and procedures. Each order that enters our facility is treated with the same standard of inspection and care to ensure that it is made per print and delivered on-time and in good condition.
At the beginning of the inspection process, each part that is punched or laser cut is checked for compliance by our Amada Fabrivision optical inspection machine. This involves laser scanning the part and comparing it to the appropriate CAD file to ensure that the part was processed within tolerance and that all features are present. As the part moves through the fabrication process, a “First Piece Inspection” and frequent in-process checks at the machine will be done for each additional operation to ensure compliance. Parts that require multiple welds, bends, types of hardware inserted, etc. will have each individually checked and signed off on. When a part reaches the end of the fabrication process it is put through a “Final Inspection” to double check tolerances, cosmetic requirements, and functionality before packaging and shipment.
Going beyond our standard inspection process, we can also provide additional documentation such as PPAPs or FAI reports (in standard or AS 9102 format). In doing this we will provide a dimensional report, balloon drawings, material and finish certifications, and whatever else is required to provide the proper traceability and compliance on the materials and processes for each product.
If a customer is not satisfied with the product they have received, our quality department is always there to work through the issue with them and get the product reworked or remade in a timely manner.
Everything manufactured at Ultratech is “Conflict Mineral Free” and we maintain a supply chain that sources RoHS and REACH compliant materials and processes for our products. Additionally, Ultratech does its part to be a sustainable manufacturer by recycling everything from raw materials to paper and cardboard, while also properly disposing of chemicals and other wastes generated in the manufacturing process.
